uneven tyre wear on rear axle, vauxhall zafira ?

ive had two sets of tyres wear on the inside edge of tyres , on the rear axle of my zafira 1.9cdti , the tread wear was uneven to the extent that there was barely visible tread on the inside edge but about 4mm left across the rest of the tyre, i have had this investigated twice by a vauxhall dealership but both times they found nothing wrong.

I have exactly the same problem - I have an 08 zafira Elite 1.9 Diesel.

Took to tyre people who said tracking would not help - need to take to Vauxhall main dealer to take a look.

Do you live in an area with a lot of "traffic calming" speed cushions? I found that my Merc's tyres wore on the inside after speed cushions were installed in our village. They chamfer the tyres every time you drive over them.

Has the car been "lowered" and/or fitted with bigger wheels?

Find a garage or tyre fitter who can do a four wheel geometry check. Possibly either the suspension/trailing arm is out or you have badly worn bushes/bearings or something has been damaged (not unknown for lazy tyre fitters to jack the whole rear end up by putting the jack under the beam).
