How can I fix my Vauxhall Astra 1.4 (1994 model) radio/cassette player?

I CAN hear the radio really low, no matter what I do with the radio itself or the external ariel I cannot increase the volume or get the tape deck to work.. anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it? Thanks! x

I figured out that the radio is in safe mode and locked, so I need a code, I learned that I need a radio removal tool to get the serial number, which I can then use to get the code to unlock the radio :) Fun fun lol
