Why won't my Candy GO482/1-80 washing machine spin?

At the time when I had expected the wash to have finished I noticed the 90' and "Stain Vanish" indicator lights were flashing and the door security light was not illuminated. I turned programme dial to "off" but could not open door. I turned dial to a programme and door secuirty light came on. After a couple of minutes it went out again, I turned programme dial to "off" and I was able to open door. The laundry was very wet. I checked detergent drawer and noticed that the fabric conditioner had not been used.

I removed half the full load just in case the machine sensed an overload and then selected spin programme and started machine. The machine filled as normal, the drum turned as normal and the machine drained as normal, but after a few minutes the programme stopped and the 90' and "Stain Vanish" indicator lights were flashing and the door security light was not illuminated. I had same problem with opening door. Laundry is still very wet and fabric conditioner has not been used. Machine does not want to go past the final rinse stage.

When I select spin or drain programmes the machine may work for a few minutes or will immediately flash the 90' and "Stain Vanish" indicator lights and th edor remains locked. The "troubleshooting" section of the instruction book does not mention these flashing lights, which I am sure must indicate a particular problem. I suspect the "fuzzy logic" has gone wrong!

The fault seems to have rectified itself. I called out a local repair man and when I tried to show him the problem, he suggested that I did not have a water pump and the washing machine on the same circuit. So I plugged the pump into another circuit and the machine is working perfectly again. He explained that the circuitry in the washing machine is susceptible to voltage/current drops which something like a pump could cause.
