error code?

Hi I have a tricity bendix washing machine/dryer
it starts to flash error code E40 and keeps making
a clicking noise where the door is locking and unlocking it self, any ideas how to fix this problem.. Thanks

Hi, I've had the same problem as Natalie, so I've replaced the interlock with a new one but the new interlock keeps making clicking sound and not locking. Could it be the pcb board?

Can somebody help?

e40 error means the door interlock has failed,.Sometimes the interlock failure can damage the pcb.Remove the interlock by removing the two screws,.Inspect the interlock for any signs of burning,also look closely at the wiring for burning.If all are ok,you will probably get away with just replacing the interlock.
