no one has mention turn power off before working on oven, also remove one lead of the element before testing or you will get parrarell readings,

meter it first,

last thing you want to be doing is purchasing a fairly expensive element only to find its something else,

use a multimeter across the element terminals,

use either the ohms or the continuity setting,

you are looking for a reading of over 16 ohms,or a audiable tone on continuity,.

Basically you are checking the element for open or closed circuit,

open circuit is a fail.

Best to make sure.

you can purchase a new element from

www.espares.co.uk

hope this info helps and good luck with the repair.

Hi Richard,

You probably need to replace the heating element in the main oven.
We have a Beko cooker and have had to replace ours twice in eight years.
