1999 vw bora 2.0 se electrics?

I have just bought this car and dont know much about vw's in general. basically i am sure its something to do with the central lockin...... Basically i have to take the fuses out for the.windows and central lockin to be able to drive it without the.doors lockin themselves and the hazard lights come on???? any help would be greatly appreciated
