tv fault?

my panasonic tv, mod no th-37pw5 when switched on the screen looks like flashing wall paper,if i press the input button the screen goes dark and speckly for a few seconds, then reverts back to the wall paper senario,ihave checked for dry joints and all conections,can u help. thanks
