A friend has a Yardman Riding mower he wants to sell. He said before he moved it ran perfectly. Now the motor runs but as soon as you try to engage the blades it goes dead. Sounds like it may be simple. Can you tell me what is wrong?
He said he used it and it was working perfectly---then he loaded it on a trailer to move from La. to Tx. When he tried to use it again the blades won't engage. Maybe he knocked something loose loading or unloading it ???

Could it be a safety -----gone wrong or a wire that came off. I'm grasping at straws. I haven't seen it yet but I will check to make sure the shaft isn't bent ---when I do see it.

He said he checked and that nothing is jamming or wrapped around the blade.
