Bra wire has got through the drum and the machine nows sounds like 'The Wheel of Fortune'!
! I have checked and the wire has gone completely through. I have removed the back plate and I think there is a heater or sump area which may grant access to the drum to poke around to see if the wire is there. Any tips on how to get in there?
After puzzling for an hour I gave in and phoned Indesit. I have just arranged for one of their engineers to arrive on the 19th sep after we are make from holiday. I am now reflecting on it and thinking ÂŁ120 is a bit steep to repair a washing machine which I assume costs at least half of what they cost to buy new.
undo the nut in the centre of the element and pries out element with a screwdriver carefully.remove bra wire.push element back in and tighten centre nut.fill with water and check element has sealed.if ok refit panel and use.simples
