my audi A4 [1995-2ooo] avant,symphony audio system ?

for no reason the system displayed TELEPHON, I don't use a blue tooth connection, the system will not respond!, i tried to reset the PIN number, all this achieved was 4 seconds of play then back to TELEPHON, can anyone assist? please!
