i had the same problem with my cap on the gener8 when you turn it anti clockwise you then have to bend the cap down with your thumb dont
press inward press down as though you are trying to prize it out.that should do the trick.your
lucky i opened mine and where the shaft for the
bottom of the handle clips into the hand held.it was broken.i have to keep taping it together to use it and untape it to use it as a hand held

Did you have any luck with the parts? I bought a Gener8 steam mop a while ago and because of illness etc have just got it out to use it. I can't even get the cap off my water tank. Have checked the internet to no avail so if you have found somewhere where I can get a new tank I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
