Where does the spring attached to the "lowering" arm of a sunbeam radiant t?

I need to know where the spring attached to the "lowering" armature of the sunbeam "radiant" toaster belongs. The toaster fell off the top of my refrigerator and has not worked since. I removed the cover of the toaster to find a spring hanging from the armature that activates the switch that turns on the coils that brown the bread. I believe this spring was dislodged when it fell. where do I attach this spring?
