veritas alarm wont turn off?

My veritas alarm wont turn off even after replacing the battery. I also looked a the fuses and they were fine. Have done everything other people have recommended like putting in the code 4321 reset and 1234 reset plus our own number and reset but nothing is working is there something I am missing or have I to admit defeat and call an engineer. Please please help.
