how can ireplace the ignition Switch on a 93 chevy Lumina?

If smoke comes out of the steering column when you crank the engine, like on mine, that's the ignition switch itself.

First are you talking about the ingnition switch itself which is located at the bottom of steering colum or the key cylinder which is where you put the key .......it is a common mistake
