Scunci may be out of business, but the concept lives on. Wherever businesses think they can make a buck, they buy the technology, paint it a different color, have no consideration for improving the product, but market it differently. Search for handheld steamers--you will find the product with slightly different shape, color, and of course, new markings.

Online Searches I made/found regarding Scunci:

Does any one know who makes the scunci steamer?

I have a scunci steamer and I lost my book. If anyone knows who makes the steamer maybe I can download a manual.

Write to consumer service L&N sales and marketing ,2200 Byberry Road,Hatboro,PA 19040-refer to scunci portable household cleaner model ss-1000

From an online chat I had with a QVC representative:
Thank you for waiting. I believe that you are looking for information on V22649 , the Scunci 1000 Watt Handheld Steam Cleaner with 24 Accessories. Scunci can be reached at www.scunci.com or you can contact them by phone at : 1-866-567-2537. I hope that this information is helpful.

I have not tried calling yet and I had already looked at Scunci.com and all they show are hair products - no other links.

Then I found this info:
Scunci Out of Business

Pros: lots of attachment storage bag makes it easy to put away
Cons: No valid warranty. Water tank was too small.

Steamer worked great for about a week. The cleaning power really motivated me to tackle jobs that I had been putting off. I liked the you could carry it. It didn't hold much water. After a week, it quit making steam. The unit wouldn't even warm up. I tried to contact the company since it was still under warranty (or so I thought). Apparently when you purchase a product from a company who is still in business, but claims that a certain division is no long in business, all warranties are void. Luckily, I saved my receipt and was able to get a refund from the store that I bought it from. I would not purchase this brand now knowing that a warranty is not available and mine wasn't made with enough quality to last more than a week. There is no way for you to contact the company. When you call customer service, they inform you that Scunci only has hair products and the division that dealt with the steamers is out of business.
