Hi, I know that these are known to be difficult to open. I have removed the glass dome cover, and I've removed the bulb, which disintegrated. Other bits of metal came away and I can't screw a new bulb back in. Seems there's no thread to screw a bulb in to anymore...?!
Many thanks for the answers, I was fearing a £99 callout charge from Neff. Had to try several implements, but a screwdriver of just the right size for the threaded section worked a treat. Thanks chaps !

After reading all the comments went for the hammer and screwdriver approach, Worked a treat! Just little taps though!

From what you say it may be that the metal part of the bulb was left in the screw hole when the glass parted company with it
TURN OFF THE ELECTRIC POWER
Ram something into the fitting and turn it anticlockwise - a screwdriver - a spoon handle - a pair of pliers - anything to get a grip.
Good Luck...
