Citroen C3 Picasso Exclusive 2010 60K Power Steering Failure?

My power steering failed. Had it diagnosed at local Citroen garage. Needed new motor and loom £811. I told guy that I had seen many threads saying it was a known fault and he did not know anything about it. I Contacted Citroen who said it was not a known fault and they would not help me with cost. I see many people had their repaired free of charge and that Citroen acknowledged there was a fault. What can I do
