Daewoo DVD recorder and vcr model DP4100P ?

I really hope someone can help. I have this model and now it won't stop waiting. You can get video in and out but DVD won't open. It use to say wait before it came on but now it just says wait and after a while goes back into stand by mode. Any ideas please?
