I have a Volvo Fm12 wagon its got a proplem with its oil pressure it runs it to 4 bar after 10/30 running (working) it drops to under 2 bar anyone know why this is ?
I tryed replacing the senser at £140+vat and its still the same

As volvo dont know what the proplem is and its cost me over £1000+ in volvo bills so far
Some lorries have low oil pressure for no reason at all. It is hard to diagnose a problem like this with out seeing the vehicle. Try changing the oil filter. If you have a big mileage, then you have a big problem, in my experience it is usually the glide bearings on the crankshaft. Try this web page www.lorry-lkw-camion.com

in my experience volvo's run a low pressure on gauge if your confident that iol is gettin to top area of engine ie well lubricated not to much worry..presume no iol light flashing..i gather by model its not to old what mileage has it
