What kind of glue or epoxy can I use to fix my scunsi steamer part?

I have a scunsi steamer ss1100 I believe is the model anway the steamer part that is used to steam clothes is partly broken at the neck. As apparently that division/company is no longer in existence I need to repair it. I do not know what kind of plastic the part(s) are made from except that it is hard black plastic. There is a recycling symbol on one of the parts. The bottom of the box says it is ETL certified whatever that is. Another one of the parts was close to the stove one day and part of it melted so seems like the plastic melts relatively easily. I tried fixing it with Loctite Extreme Repair as recommended by Canadian Tire but as it is a silicon it does not bond to plastic at all - bad advice! I called Henkel and they advised me to contact their industrial division who suggested an epoxy # 81120 however it is difficult for them as they don't know what type of plastic it is made from either. Also the nearest distributor is in New York State at least 80km from my location in downtown Toronto. I want to try an epoxy but I have no idea which one to use. The part will be exposed to both heat and water from the steam. Can anyone help me fix this at all?

See if your hardware shop sells ARALDITE 2 part epoxy,2 tubes that you mix a little of on a piece of cardboard with a lolly stick and spread it on,it takes 6-12 hours to set but slow stuff is better than fast stuff, you may get ARALDITE RAPID in a double syringe, either way put the part in a warm place and leave overnight, make sure the parts are clean and roughen them a bit with an emery board(nail file)if you can.Good luck.
