Just an FYI, I had the same problem as Twicebit. In my case the pully had slipped out and was causing a loud clicking sound as as it rubbed against the magnetic sensor.

The pully was still somewhat tight on the metal shaft but was slipping when I applied pressure to the treadmill. I followed Twicebit's instructions and so far so good, the treadmill is back in operation, thanks Twicebit!

I bought my sportscraft tx400 treadmill second hand and it worked fine but when I got home it didn't work I unplugged the wire that looks like a phone cord and plugged it back in and it makes a clicking noise and the circuit board was faintly lit then it disappeared after several attempts of plugging and unplugging what looks like a phone cord could it be the fuse or battery?

well I could turn mine on and after about 5 seconds it also turned off I took the cover off and at first glance no problems,I then realized the cover was crushing one of my chords that ran up the RIGHT side of the treadmill which is right under the top of the treadmill its like a phone chord I unplugged it and plugged it back up TREADMILL RUNS LIKE A CHAMP NOW

I have a TX400 by Sportcraft and the belt is slipping when you are using it. The belt will just stop turning. What can I do and how do I fix this problem?

This morning my sprotcraft TX400 treadmill worked for 6seconds. I put in all the settings and it started working but stopped after 6 seconds. The panel went blank except for the calorie counter which had the number 3 displayed. It kept happening after several tries.

when i get on the treadmill to run or walk it starts to go real fast and it show me a number #1 and it feels like it do not have any power when i get on it go slow when i speed it up and if i get my self off it go relly fast i can figger it out. thank u

the flat board that hold the belt is unsafe. it feels that it is broken. how do i fix it?

My TX400 would run for 7 seconds, and then stop. I removed the front cover, and discovered that the large plastic pulley had slipped on the front roller, and moved inward away from the speed sensor. There is a little small magnet on the pulley that triggers the speed sensor, and in my case the pulley had moved inward bringing the magnet away from the sensor. To remedy the problem, I first removed the two allen head bolts holding the front roller to the frame. The plastic pulley was easily removed from the roller. I then roughed up the inside of the pulley with 80 grit sandpaper. Don't go too far, just rough it up. Clean the roughed up area with an alcohol swab and wipe dry. I mixed up a little two part epoxy, J-B Weld, and applied a light coat to the inside of the pulley. Install the plastic pulley, with the small round magnet facing out, on the opposite end of the roller. The surface there is rougher and not worn smooth. Position the edge of the pulley approximately 1/16" in from the edge of the roller, and wipe off the extra epoxy. After allowing the epoxy to set overnight, i installed the roller and tensioned the belts. No problems since.

When I turn my treadmill on, the board lights up but the treadmill does not work. There is a sequence of the number 8 that is across the board lit up. None of the functions work to make the treadmill work. What can i do to make the treadmill work?

My sportscraft treadmill worked fine untillthis morning,but this morning it will not keep going, it runs for about 7 seconds and then it stops. and the #3 shows on the calorie counter, [ on the left side] what can I do?

My treadmill had the same problem as Don's.. speed sensor the plastic wheel is broke in half, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I called to try and order a new part but they have discontinued it.

take the motor cover off . look on the righthand side for the speed sensor the plastic wheel is broke in half and laying in the bottom

Check the wheel speed sensor. Pull the plug. Remove the motor cover. If the magnet is on the wheel belt shaft wheel then try to move the sensor a bit closer or inspect it for problems!

It worked!!!! I removed the plastic bottom (near the motor). The sensor is this tiny, hairlike protusion (very flimsy) at the end of this plastic square sticking out towards the pulley wheel. The hairlike protusion was not pointed toward the pulley wheel magnet.

It was much easier to fix than I thought.
