dyson DC04?

I have a dyson DC04 for a while but I have a recurring fault.
After using the cleaner for a while it will cut out and needs to stand for 10-15 mins b4 it will start again.
I have washed the hepa filter but noticed that the bottom of the dust bin is very hot - does the DC04 have a cut out switch or can anyone else shed some light on this fault.
