Why don't you shut down your computer, unplug your scanner from the computer and the scanner power supply. Wait approx 30-40 sec., to give the scanner time to reset it's self. plug in the power supply to the scanner and then the scanner into the computer and then restart the computer. Perhaps then, when the computer starts it will recognize the scanner and install the drivers for it, or it will ask you if you want to install your own drivers.
