How did you find out that you could even fix a battery? You probably came across an ebay ad while looking for a new battery! Those ads cost hundreds each month to run. I am not a scammer. I have spent hundreds of hours testing to come up with the EZ BATTERY FIX and it's techniques. I still am running tests to improve the process. I have years of research and testing into the EZ BATTERY FIX. If I didn't make a few bucks for my time I couldn't waste my time on the years of research. You won't find the most current version of my research on the net for free ANYWHERE or from one of the other cut-n-pasters on ebay. They are scammers. Besides, all the funds that I make by selling the EZ BATTERY FIX goto starting a non-profit organization called the "Global EnvirOment". I am here to help us all so be mindfull when you say we are ALL scammers!

my Panasonic phone nicd battery died on me, so I was thinking to buy the new set from Sears, but then I read about rebuilding or repairing the battery and found it on Google that its possible, searched for instructions and bought the repair manual from www.nicdbatteryfix.com , the instructions were very easy and was able to fix the Panasonic nicd within 5 minutes. I used same instructions for my Makita cordless battery which is also nicd. So far saved atleast $140 in repairs.
Hope this is helpfull to all.

I just fixed my 14.4 volt NiCad Battery Pack.

Before fix, battery would not hold a charge and would barely turn the drill. After fix, I charged overnight and it now seems to be as good as new.

I took four 6 volt batteries and hooked up in series (24 vdc). Then contacted positive to positive and negative to negative on 14.4 volt battery pack for about 30 seconds.

Now works perfectly. I am so happy.

In response to the reply "hundreds of testimonials are available on the website:
Doesn't everybody know by now that testimonial is another word for "lie" They pay for testimonials!!!
I used to be a cameraman, and we would always film testimonials, and then they would hand over the $$$ afterwards, sometimes they would give free product in exchange

Fixing a Cordless Power Tool Battery Pack was first made available by Unique Dynamics, Inc.
It was call Battery Resurrection because it will raise your battery from the dead and give it more life. Those that think it will make your dead battery into a new battery are mistaken.

The battery resurrection guide will show you with pictures and step by step instruction how to perform the process, so it is done correctly. Thousands of people have used the Resurrection process and hundreds of testimonials are available on the website:
http://resurrection.uniquedynamics.com

You can learn more about this process at:
www.batteryresurrection.com or you can visit Jenni at:
www.fixbattery.com and watch her in a TV commercial.

The Resurrection Process has been copied and parts of it have been put on the web, but, to be done correctly, you should purchase the Battery Resurrection Guide.

The PRO version of the guide also has pictures and methods for rebuilding tool batteries and dustbusters, garden lights, tools with built in batteries, and basically all NiCD battery powered tools.

The document he sells may be, but the method isn't. It's the same method you can find for free all over the net.

There are two ways to fix a NiCd rechargeable pack. The proper way is to charge it, disassemble it, check each cell for voltage (above 1.1V DC), replace the Sub C cells that test below 1.1 using a chisel or dremel to release the spot welded tabs that join them together then use a low temp solderer to rejoin the new cells to the old ones. You can buy the cells or take them from another poor working pack- only a few will be bad in each pack. Here model doesnt matter- there will be more in side the pack as the tool voltage goes up, however try to keep the Mah rating the same. The Dewalt XP (1800 Mah) should not be mixed with the XP+ (2100Mah) and certainly not with standard (1200 mah). Easy to find a write up on the web- Google rebuild NiCd battery pack. Process wont work with stick style that fits entirely in the handle like older Makitas. Also suggest gloves -Cd is deadly poison.
Second way involves zapping the battery in couple second intervals with around twice the rated DC voltage. Amp draw is also high >10A so you can just use a higher rated charger like an 18V one for a 9.6 Battery. You have to check the voltage after every zap and stop once you reach rated or no more than 2V above. I suggest < 10% over rated. Very dangerous, as overzapping can literally blow up the battery cells. More like a band aid but can and does restore more capacity in many packs for some time. Not like new but better than before.

I have had good luck with the repair I found at

www.nicadbatteryfix.com

It is copyrighted and tradmarked, so I can't really tell you how to do it.

But it did fix 3 of my old 18v Dewalts
