how do i take my kitchen mixer tap off to replace worksurface?

Usually the taps are fixed to the stainless steel sink unit itself - however there isn't any difference in their fixing. Underneath the surface you'll see some large brass or plastic 'backnuts' that you need to undo and remove before the taps can be lifted clear. Obviously the water should be turned off and the tap connectors undone first!!
