Hotpoint WF865 The machine won't take water?

How to check water supply to machine .turn off both taps H&C (You may only have a C one )remove end(s) from back of machine place in an empty bowl holding the ends firmly turn on the water supply does it flow under a lot of pressure? or a dribble if the latter pipe blocked. If you have got these water pipes that self cut ? you can tell if you have there is a clamp all around the water pipe the hole is probably blocked. (only 1/8th big )if water flows rapidly fault is in the machine ie inlet water solenoid
