How do i stop upvc double glazed window from whistling?
I have a UPVC double glazed window in my bedroom that has recently started to whistle alot but only when the wind blows in a certain direction and it stops when i open the window. The other issue is that i'm on a 3rd floor and so i'm unable to look at the window from the outside with it shut. Any advice would be great.
could be 4 reasons, your hinges might have broke so they dont pull your window in far enough, your lock might be broke or may need adjusting, your gaskets might not be doing their job and letting wind through or it may need re-sealing with silicone as wind may be coming through the window where it meets brickwork,I cant say wich 1 without seeing the problem so it is a matter of elimination.
