We had a similar problem. All you need to do is to the following:
1. Turn of tap that supplies water to dish washer.
2. Have a cloth ready in case of some water discharge.
3. Gently unscrew connector to tap.
4. Check for any blockages.
5. Sometimes there may be a small filter attached. Check and clean.
6. Attach connector again to dish washer.
7. Open top.
8. Switch dish washer and check operation.
9. If problem persists it may be a blockage in the pipes.
