how to fix ps2 slimline.. discs not loading?

.....Please help... my ps2 slimline wont read any game that i put in it, it only displays a screen that has a memory card and a disc on it.. any suggestions . many many thanks

i just bought a used jak x racing and it worked fine for a couple days but then the auto save started skrewing up and it wouldnt let me pause or get to a different screen.now none of my games will load to the gameplay.

hes nt very silly lol my ps2 does the same thing the disc appears but it just goes back to the previous screen with the picture of the disc again if ny1 knows how to fix plz help

press the X button on the disk picture

u r very very silly. if the screen shows a disc, tht means it's working perfectly!!!
