my hotpoint wm52 is leaking water from underneath the machine, does anybody know what the problem could be?

Check all hoses and hose connections, look at the seals around the heater and thermostat at rear of drum. Check the detergent dispenser for blockage and overflow. Check for rusty spray around where the drum shaft enters the outer drum - early indication of seal and bearing failure.
