Mend Ford 01 Puma Brake Problems Working

High Level Brake Light Out?

Im having problems with the high level brake light on my 01 ford puma. I have changed the light itself but it is still not working, possibly electrical fault? Has anyone got any idea what it could be or areas on where to check for problems? thanks
