Pressure gauge off the clock on Arisiton Micro Combi?

The pressure gauge has gone off the clock on my Ariston Micro Combi boiler. How do I release the pressure? (Prior to the pressure increasing all the time, the pressure was dropping to 0 every time the heating was switched off.)

Hello,
Did you get an answer? I have the same boiler and mine has just failed with the same fault! prior to that it used to fail with low pressure too.

Firstly, to release the pressure, the simplest way is to open the bleed valve of a radiator and shed a little water. If you have the same fault as me then that won't fix it though as it just goes back up.

The quickest thing to check is if you have a cold-water feed to your boiler for topping up (probably flexi-piple) then remove this from the cold end (Assuming you have ensured the values are tightly shut) and see whether you get any leaks, which will show water constantly entering the system.

My original fault I was told was probably due to it needing a good flushing out (followed by some inhibitor like fenrox) and some 'magic juice' to descale and remove any deposits.

I have an engineer coming out tomorrow....
