how can i fix my sockets?

i have 2 sockets in my kitchen that keep tripping the main rcd in the cosumer unit,then when i test voltage coming out of circuits i'm only getting 12v at both socket outlets.

whatever you are using to test voltage must b at fault. try using tester on a socket that you know works. if u keep tripping u must have a fault between con. unit and sockets ie bad cons. or faulty sockets

1) In the UK it is not illegal to replace exsisting sockets. ALWAYS ask a qualified electricain for advice before attempting to fix anything with mains electricity.
2) It IS ILLEGAL to install, alter or in any way change any exsisting wiring.

You have a short. Get an electrician quickly. Especially in the UK where it is illegal to DIY kitchen electrics.
