my olympus c-350 wont turn on?

I had the exact same problem, turn it on, sometimes nothing, sometimes 10 beeps - either way the lens wouldn't extend and for all intents and purposes the camera seemed dead. Turns out the set of rechargable batteries I was using had reached their use/recharge capacity - they weren't being charged by my battery charger as it detected they were pretty much recharged-out, and then the camera didn't have enough juice to fire up (or so it thought, C-350/D-560's have a notoriously finicky battery level sensor) - long and the short of it - try a few different sets of batteries, even some [new] standard duracells to see if it fires up. If so, get yourself some new 2500mA rechargables and you should be good to go.
