How can i fix my Olympus smart media card?

How can I get my card reader to read my Olympus smart media card. After formating my olympus smart media card, my card reader will no longer read it, the card works perfectly in my camera but not via the card reader, before formating the reader did not have a problem. I have checked my card reader and according to my pc the device does not have a problem.

Try to format the card with-in the camera and not by the computer via the card reader. That way the cameras' software will create a folder, with the name (the cameras) as the folder name.

Consider yourself lucky. Most of the time the error occurs in reverse. The card reader can read the card but the camera cannot. If you can connect your camera to the computer via a cable and download the photos you should probably leave well enough alone. One work of warning. Obviously your card is formatted incorrectly. I would be careful when photographing that once in a lifetime memorable moment. Hope this helps. Saul
