No Spark?

My Craftsman riding mower Model # 917.271011 15.5 HP, is producing no spark. I have pulled the flywheel and checked from the sparkl plug up to the stator assy and everything seems normal plus I have to jumper the solenoid to get it to turn over.Any help ou can give me is appreciated. Thanks

You also might check the fuses. Fuses will do the same thing.

The solenoid problem is either due to a flat battery, poor connections or the solenoid itself. The spark issue won't be connected to this unless your machine has battery and coil ignition rather than a magneto....try a new plug, make sure its earthed correctly, and the electric ground wire isn't earthed out.
