You will be very lucky if this washing machine wash has not damaged your IPOD beyond economical repair. The usual solution is to let it dry out gradually over a period of many days (by keeping it somewhere warm+dry eg an airing cupboard) , and NOT to switch it on too soon. The chances are that it is the hard-drive that has major damaged so it would be possible to buy a used replacement off Ebay and swop it.(around £10 ?) Beware though, taking an IPOD to pieces is rather awkward so make sure you know how to do it and have the correct tools BEFORE you start ....Good Luck
