How do I take the top off my Hotpoint Aquarius CTD40?

I need to access the switches (Start/Cancel & On/Off). My boy has pushed the buttons in and they have stayed in, I just cannot get the buttons to come out. I have been told that the buttons are just clipped in, maybe they just need clipping back into place. But i cannot access them. I have tried to get the top off the dryer but I'm stuck, I can't even find a service manual for the machine.

Hi I have a Hoypoint 7kg Condenser Dryer CTD40, I have cleaned the fluff filter emptied water from the container cleaned the condenser unit, when I switch on the condenser the empty light is on, when I press the start button it bleeps until I let go but the dryer does not start, can you help please?

Hi, the top on the ctd40 is a bit stiff.
Undo the two screws on the back of the machine (one on each side of the back/top corners.

Once you have done that, go around to the front of the machine and with the heel of your hand, give the front left and right corners a good thump towards the back.
That should do the trick!
