Convert Calor Gas BBQ to mains gas?

Is it easy to convert a Calor Gas BBQ to join to the mains. I have a gas fire in the lounge, the gas pipe runs along the outside wall and about 3 meteres from my BBQ area.
Obviously i will get a qualified fitter to do this, I just wondered if it straight forward and roughly how much this could cost. Do gas BBQ operate using mains gas or do I need new parts etc etc... many thanks
