Air lock in Ideal Classic Boiler?

I added a new radiator to the downstairs teeing off from 3/4 inch pipes upstairs. I refilled the Gas CH system. Issue now is that my Ideal Classic Boiler fires for about 1 minute and then cuts out. I bled all Rads. My guess is there is an air lock near the boiler. How do I release it. ? Where are the bleed valves located to vent the boiler ? I replaced 2 rads on the downstairs floor 2 months ago and had no problems. TNX in advance.

Hi Kevin, I was wondering if you ever got this sorted out as I seem to have a similar problem. I also have an Ideal boiler which has air in it which means it cuts in and out about a minute or so on and then a minute off.
I have a drain on the water inlet side just above the boiler and can get the air out by putting a pipe submersed in a water bowl, opening the valve a bit and then turning the boiler (pump) on for ~30secs then off for ~30secs. Doing this 5 or so times gets rid of all the air which sits in the boiler when on and the extra heat you get out is much better. Only problem is that there is air there again within hours.
I did read that there should be an air capture or automatic release device in the boiler?, but dont have that confirmed. If that is so, I should be able to replace with a good one.
Anyone got a solution as I dont think the pump bleeding one will solve my problem.

I spoke too soon. My boiler worked after I bled it as suggeted but
it has now gone back to firing for a few minutes and then ceasing. It still hum's but the gas jet does not fire again after its initial blast. I bled the pump while the system was turned on. A lot of air came out bubbling in the small amount of water that also was emitted. Then the system works for a little while again.I also bled the radiators. Where else could be air locked. Attic tanks or pipes ??
