How do I remove the starter from a Briggs & Stratton Engine?

Theres usually just two bolts holding it. Just remove the small shroud on the cylinder head if it has one. Make sure you disconnect your battery before removing your battery cable there should only be one stud with a nut on it to remove. One of the bolts on the starter will look like you cant remove it, but you can get a wrench on it. Just turn your flywheel by hand a little to remove that bolt. Then reinstall the same way you took it off.
