Mend Tested Test Meter

earthing?

My kitchen worktop appears to be live when tested witha Test meter, also the sink and drawers. I've checked the 2 earth connections I can see ( under the bath and at the water input point)
Is there anything I can do or do I need to contact the electricity company or an electrician

how did you test? is the kitchen new ? don't trust glow sticks they can be set off with static .turn power off ,all metal in the house should be earthed. under the sink you should find green/yellow cables clamped to metal parts inclueding pipes .please dont play with electric ,call someone in

if not familiar with eletricity and how it works call a pro. prolly have a shorted plug or switch.kill pwer to that area and remover covers to plugs. look for burned or darkened areas inside these.
