how to put belt on washing machine?

I have an hotpoint aquarius 1200 washing machine, the belt has come off the back, but cannot get back of washing machine off to get to it,it does not have screws,it seems a permanent fixture,only a small hole where the belt is,but cannot get into it to put belt on.

PS The back has to slide backwards before it will lift upwards.

I think you can get the top off with a couple of screws, (back top edge?) and then work down the space at the back as I recall that the motor is at the top of this type of machine. Good luck
