I've got the same problem. Seems to be a common fault as the led's on the front panel PCB don't light up so the screen is too dark to read. As a temporary measure, simply shine a bright torch at the screen and you should be able to read the settings, otherwise a new PCB is needed at a cost of £100 plus fitting
