my washer fills and empties ,makes noise as if drum turning but doesnt(only by hand)wont spin at all.help!!what is it?brushes motor?how do i check them?what do i need?would it be cheaper to buy another?
the brushes have worn down,the copper spindle they bear on (commutator) will be black with carbon,and must be cleaned lightly with mild abrasive (sandpaper or green scouring pad) before replacing the brushes.This should cure the fault,hopefully.
