Need more details on replacement door seal on Bosch WFL246KGB/04?

Richard L, you posted an answer in April, but i wonder how you were able to squeeze the spring in as the entire area is such a small/tight space. If i place the seal/gasket in drum, I can't see/access the area where the spring goes. does the front panel (entire front of machine) need to be removed?
John P, how were you able to do it?
