The mould has grown on the door for a reason - too much moisture and not enough ventilation. When the mould has gone it will return if the conditions that caused it in the first place are not attended to. Unless you're moving on to a new place then you have two jobs...

to answer your question nick the mould can easily be removed by cleaning the door with a solution of bleach and warm water. if however that doesn't work then you may have to use a solution of Tri sodium phosphate (TSP) it comes in a powder form. you desolve one cup of the TSP in two gallons of warm water and scrub the area where the mould is then rince it wirh clear water and treat the area with a fungicide. Note you can get the TSP at your local home center. but you had better buy some rubber gloves as well as the TSP is a harsh chemical.

Some can, some cannot.Try inserting a slim chisle into the base of where u think the moulding meets the door timber,if it lifts then its probably the type that is pined in place with 1" brads.usually the solid one's are reserved for exteriour door's,or very high quality.
