I have a Sharp XE A-102 till everytime I key anything in on number 1 it shows E on the display and I cannot fix it. I have tried doing a Z reading and turning the till off but this has still not worked. Any ideas?
That didn't take long did it...
Still not working though, if I press number 1 without entering anything it prints £2.50 if I try to key in any amount of money it comes up with the E and that infuriating bleep... it's driving me mad.
Any other suggestions. At the moment I have got the staff using number 2 which seems to be working. Thanks

Thanks I'll try that now. I had a look at it last night and it does seem that 1 seems to have been programmed with £2.50 so you're probably right. Thank you very much.

Hi.
If department 1 is not working, then it usually has accidentally been programmed wrong.
First thing to try is setting it to open price.
Turn key to PGM mode
Press 0 (zero)
Press department 1 button
press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to reg and try it.
If it still doesn't work, just let me know.
