Mend John Deere L111 Start Garage Cut

Won't Start?

I have a John Deere L111 - I just started it- backed it up out of garage to cut grass and now it will not start. Could it be a safety switch?

Certainly it could be. Ride-on mowers will not (or should not) start unless ;-

1) Blades OFF
2) Brake fully applied/clutch out.
3) Operator on seat.

Usually it's number 2 that people forget.

A faulty seat switch is usually what causes either a non-start, or the mower to stall when brake release/cutted engaged.
