Reset Computer tamper alarm?

I have a computer that was given to me. It's old, but serves my purposes. It's an "A Open" (never heard of the brand), Model AX34. I was getting an error message that led me to believe that my RAM was corrupted so I opened it up, replaced the RAM and when I put it back together and started it up, there is just a loud alarm type sound. I suspect it had some anti-tamper alarm. Any idea how to reset it?

I cannot see an intrusion jumper on the motherboard, I could be that the memory strips have been nudged out of the slots, our you have disturbed a connection on the board. This was a good board for the time it was produced, and was a bit ahead of its time then, be careful when changing any settings or CPU's as almost all settings have to be done manually
the board manual and drivers etc can be downloaded from
http://download.aopen.com.tw
at the top select motherboards
then next your type is an AX34 Pro

You've probably just mis placed something or, at worst, zapped a component. I long beep is often a BIOS error.

the case alarm settings are usually accessed from CMOS, press del at startup, enter cmos or setup, look for the heading for "chassis intrusion alarm" or similar. You will have to look for it though, there are lots of pages and each heading may have other headings within. Press the ESC key to exit each frame menu to continue.
